Adam Bren Named MIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore pitcher Adam Bren (Chatfield, Minn.) has been named MIAC Pitcher of the Week for his efforts in an important 3-1 win over Concordia. Bren allowed only two hits in seven innings to help the Gusties defeat Concordia 3-1 in game two and complete an important league sweep in Moorhead on Sunday afternoon. Bren allowed one hit and one earned run in the third inning and an infield single in the fourth and that was it as he put the Cobbers down in order in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. He walked one batter and struck out four including two in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Gustavus pitching staff registered three complete game victories to help the Gusties post a 4-0 record on the week. Gustavus is now 12-8 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC.
