Men's Golf Team Leads Augsburg Invitational After First Round

The Gustavus men's golf team shot a sizzling first round total of 290 and holds a 15 stroke lead over Saint John's II (305) after the first round of the Augsburg Invitational. Gustavus II fired a team score of 306 and is in a tie for third place one shot behind the Johnnies. The first round was played at the Crow River Golf Club in Hutchinson, Minn.

Individually, senior Jordan Hawkinson is in first place after posting an even par score of 71. Teammates Mark Stuckey and Eric Harris are in a tie for second place with scores of one-over par 72.

Monday's final round will be played at the Chaska Town Course.
