Men's Hockey Falls to Milwaukee School of Engineering 9-6

The Gustavus men's hockey team lost to the Milwaukee School of Engineering 9-6 in the first round of the MSOE Holiday Tournament in Milwaukee. The Gusties tied the score at 5-5 early in the third period, but MSOE scored three power play goals late in the game and claimed the 9-6 victory.

The Gusties were led Eric Bigham with two goals. Others contributing included Tim Ornell with one goal and one assist, Jon Keseley with one goal and one assist, Mike Hosfield with two assists and Joe Welch with two assists.

Kevin Johnson suffered the loss in the nets. He recorded 24 saves and allowed nine goals.

Gustavus will now play UW-Stout in the consolation game on Sunday at 1 pm.
