The Gustavus women's golf team holds a nine-stroke lead after day one of the Best Western Riverport Inn Collegiate Classic hosted by Winona State University. 36 holes were played Saturday with Gustavus posting rounds of 328 and 323 for a 651 total, leading host Winona State (327-333--660) and St. Thomas (337-331--668).

Sophomore Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn.) currently shares the 36-hole lead after firing rounds of 81 and 77 on Saturday. First-year Kali Griggs (Burnsville, Minn.) is two shots back at 79-81--160.

The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday morning at Cedar Valley G.C. in Winona.
