Women's Golf In First Place After First Day of Wartburg Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team is in first place of the 11-team Wartburg Invitational after the first day of the 36-hole tournament. The Gusties, who hold a nine-shot lead over host Wartburg, were led by senior Kelli Groff who fired a tournament leading 74.

Others contributing for Gustavus included Kimbra Kosak with a 78 (third place), Alana Reetz with an 80, Rachel Roberg with an 81, and Erin Schliep with an 84.

The tournament, which is being played in Waverly, Iowa, will conclude on Sunday afternoon.
