Volleyball Downs Luther 3-0

The Gustavus volleyball team picked up their sixth straight victory Friday night defeating the Luther College Norse 30-28, 30-27, 30-22 at the Bethany Lutheran College Triangular in Mankato.
Sophomore Andrea Kron (Cold Spring, Minn.) led the Gusties offensively with 15 kills on 35 attacks. Junior Jessica Plemel (Owatonna, Minn.) added 11 kills and two service aces while also leading the team defensively with 22 digs. Junior Rachelle Jakobs (Montevideo, Minn.) helped facilitate the offense with 30 assists as Gustavus sent the Norse to their tenth defeat in eleven outings.
The Gusties, now 7-3 on the season, will face Bethany Lutheran at 1 p.m. in Mankato to conclude the triangular.
