Season Summary – Coach Scott Jerome’s squad turned in a solid season even though the team was plagued by injuries. The Gusties finished eighth at the MIAC Championships which is the program’s best finish since 1999. Freshman Alex Zuppan, who placed 27th was the team’s top finisher. The squad completed its season with a 16th place finish out of 22 teams at the NCAA Central Region meet. Junior captain Brent Magnusson, who placed 77th, was the team’s top finisher. The future looks bright for the squad as 16 of the 18 runners return including all of its top seven runners.
