2003-2004 Season

Season Summary – Coach Jon Carlson’s squad turned in arguably the finest season in the program’s history by winning its third consecutive MIAC Championship. The Gusties claimed 11 event titles at the conference meet including seven individual event titles and four relay titles. Individual champions included Scott Hagemeyer in the 50 free, the 100 free and the 100 backstroke, Seth Weidmann in the 200 individual medley and 200 backstroke, and Will Sutor in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Swimmers earning all-conference honors included Sutor, Hagemeyer, Weidmann, Brian Amundson, Evan Christianson, Kent Kramer, Mike Maynard, Marc Maynard, Brad Hammer, Brian Beckmann, and Jeff Pearson. The Gusties completed their season by finishing ninth at the NCAA Championships as seven swimmers earned All-America honors.
