It was a season of nailbiters for Coach Larry Zelenz and his squad as 10 of the teams 18 games were decided by one goal. Unfortunately, six of those ten one goal decisions were losses and the Gusties finished with an overall mark of 10-7-1.
In MIAC play, the team finished in a tie for fifth with a record of 5-4-1. The Gusties played the top teams in the league very tough as they defeated co-champion St. Olaf 2-1 and lost to co-champion Macalester 1-0.
Sophomore forward Jacob Valento led the team in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. Senior goalkeeper John Dierkhising and senior defender Ryan Chies were named first team all-conference.
