Jay Schoenebeck

Born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Schoenebeck's coaching career has spanned 25 years and included stints at NCAA Division I, II, and III institutions. Schoenebeck started his career as the tight ends and receivers coach at Gustavus from 1981 to 1985 under former head coach Dennis Raarup. His next stop was the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he was a graduate assistant and volunteer coach from June of 1985 until July of 1988 under the late Dave McClain, Jim Hilles, and Don Morton.
While at Wisconsin, Schoenebeck earned a master's degree in educational administration. Upon completing his degree at Wisconsin, Schoenebeck returned to Gustavus to serve as offensive coordinator for head coach Steve Byrne. He held that position from August of 1988 until December of 1990. In January of 1991, Schoenebeck was named to Mike Daly's coaching staff at South Dakota State University. His responsibilities included coordinating the special teams and working with the quarterbacks and wide receivers.
Along with his coaching and recruiting duties at Gustavus, Schoenebeck's responsibilities include teaching in the health and exercise science department. He and his wife, Darcey, live in New Prague. Tom Brown![]() |

While at Gustavus, Bergstrom was a four-year starter at middle linebacker. He graduated as the program's all-time leader in tackles with 406 stops, earning honorable mention All-America honors on the Hewlett-Packard Division III All-America team in 2000. Bergstrom excelled off the field as well, earning two First Team CoSIDA Academic All-America selections on his way to graduating in 2002.

Prior to serving as the assistant to the football and men's hockey teams Deschneau was an assistant with the women's hockey team for two seasons. Deschneau helped guide the Gusties to two NCAA Tournaments and a third place finish during the 2005-06 season.
A 2001 Gustavus graduate, Deschneau was a member of both the football and hockey teams. He majored in management with an emphasis in accounting. Upon graduating from Gustavus, Mike attended South Dakota State University to pursue a master's degree. He recently completed the course work for his Master of Science degree in athletic administration. Deschneau also served as a graduate assistant for the South Dakota State University football team from the fall of 2001 through the spring of 2003. He worked with the defensive line and the outside linebackers in addition to helping with various recruiting duties.Coach Deschneau and his wife Jess live in St. Peter.

Dennis Baldus
|
As head coach at Watertown, he garnered the Wright County Conference Football Coach of the Year award six times. In 1987 Baldus became athletic director and head football coach at Albert Lea High School before being hired in 1991 as a principal in the Chaska Independent School District. Coach Baldus was an administrator in the Chaska ISD up until his retirement this spring. He lives in Victoria, Minnesota.

From 2001-02, Shea was also running backs coach at South Dakota State before moving on to Minnesota State University-Mankato where he served as wide receivers coach in 2003 and running backs coach in 2004. During his time at these two schools, Shea coached two candidates for NCAA Division II Player of the Year, Josh Ranek (SDSU) and Sean Treasure (MSU-Mankato). From 2005-06, Shea was quarterbacks coach at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
Corey, his wife, Lisa, and their son, Macauley, live in St. Peter.
