Gustavus Adolphus College has made a strong commitment to facilities for its athletics and intramural programs. The combined indoor and outdoor facilities at the college are considered by many to be among the finest in the nation. Over 700 students participate in the intercollegiate athletics program. In addition, approximately 80 percent of the student body participates in the intramural program each year. The newest addition to the Gustavus athletic facilities is the new football stadium, which was built in 2007. Strong athletic and recreational facilities support the Gustavus mission of encouraging its students to exercise the mind, the body, and the soul for overall health.
