Two Late Game Rallies Allow Baseball Team To Sweep Augsburg And Clinch Playoff Spot
The Gustavus baseball team clinched a MIAC Playoff spot with two dramatic victories over Augsburg on Sunday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties scored three times in the bottom of the seventh inning to win game one 8-6, and then scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to win game two 4-3. Gustavus is now 20-16 overall and 12-8 in the MIAC.

Baseball Suffers 7-3 Loss To Saint Mary's In Completion Of Suspended Game
The Gustavus baseball team failed to rally in the final three innings of a suspended game with Saint Mary's and suffered a 7-3 loss to the Cardinals in St. Peter on Thursday afternoon. The game, which originally started on April 21, was resumed in the bottom of the fourth inning with Saint Mary's leading 7-1. The Gusties scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut the lead to 7-3, but the Cardinals held on for the victory.

Baseball Team Continues to Struggle, Loses Two At Hamline
The Gustavus baseball team dropped a key MIAC doubleheader to Hamline on Wednesday afternoon by the scores of 9-3 and 2-1. It has been a rough two weeks for the Gusties who have dropped six games in the last seven days. Sophomore Mike DesLauriers led Gustavus at the plate in the two games going 3-for-7 with two runs scored. The Gusties are now 18-15 overall and 10-7 in the MIAC.

Bats Go Silent As Baseball Team Drops Doubleheader To St. Thomas 1-7, 0-3
The Gustavus baseball team saw its chance to move back into first place disappear dropping two games to first place St. Thomas by the scores of 7-1 and 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties were not able to string any hits together over the two games, while the Tommies did manage to record key hits late in both games. The result was two critical wins for St. Thomas and a very disappointing afternoon for Gustavus. St. Thomas improves to 12-2 in league play, while the Gusties fall to 10-5.
