Jim Gilbert

Jim Gilbert (Gustavus '62) is an instructor of Environmental Studies and the previous Executive Director and Naturalist of Linnaeus Arboretum. For 30 years, Jim served the Hopkins Public Schools as a science teacher and naturalist, retiring in 1998. He is a consulting naturalist for WCCO Radio, co-author of the Minnesota Weatherguide Calendars, author of two books on nature in Minnesota, and writes a weekly nature column which appears in several newspapers
