Class of 1988
April 2007
Gustie ’88 Classmates,
As the newest class
agent, I have the opportunity to write my first class letter. When I
reflect on the wonderful friends I've made at Gustavus, the great times and
education I received, I am thankful for what Gustavus was to me and what it has
become.
This past December, Libby and I had our daughters down to Gustavus for
Christmas in Christ Chapel. What a great event. I asked Hope and
Grace if they wanted to go again next year. They both said they
did. This, as well as other campus events (athletic games, band concerts,
etc.) is a great way to expose your children to Gustavus at an early age
Our daughters tell me they both want to be Gusties! Thanks for 529 plans.
Our 20 year reunion is next year during Homecoming, the weekend of

Thank you to the annual givers to Gustavus. Please consider increasing
your support. To those who have been occasional givers, please consider
becoming annual givers. To those who have never given back to Gustavus,
please consider joining your classmates by becoming an annual giver, even if
it's $50-$100 to start. Because of the Gustavus Fund, we all received
financial support directly or indirectly. Currently the gifts to Gustavus
and endowment income provides about a 20% cost reduction to all students.
Most students receive financial aid in addition. A gold envelope is enclosed for your news and
gift. The 2007 Alumni Fund closes May
31.
Gustavus has changed since we graduated. If you haven't been back since
receiving your diploma, please find a way to return to campus for our reunion,
or any additional opportunities for a visit. All
the best.
