1947 Class Letter

Gustavus Adolphus College gustavus.edu alumni@gustavus.edu

April 2000

Dear Classmates of ’47:

First, let me thank Cecile Carlson Ellis for being our guest class letter writer. She did such a good job I may ask that she take the job on a permanent basis?interested Cecile?

On March 21st I took part in the spring Phonorama. I talked to a number of you that evening. I always enjoy that part of the Phonorama.

The priority of this letter is to remind everyone that May 31 is the deadline for getting your check into the Gustavus Fund. Please try to participate in this year’s fund with a meaningful gift. As I write this letter, there is less than two months until the end of the 1999-00 fiscal year. When you read this letter that time will probably be reduced to one month. REMEMBER: May 31…

I talked to Marilyn Spencer Schwarz (Phonorama night) and was sad to learn that here husband, Malcolm, had passed away earlier that month. I’m sure she’d love to hear from some of her old classmates.
