Sweden 2009

 
 

A new semester program in Sweden will be launched in January 2009. This five-month, five-course program will take students to the far north (Jokkmokk, located on the Arctic Circle), the eastern seaboard (Stockholm), the western seaboard (Göteborg), and the southernmost Swedish provinces. There will be courses on:

  • Sami culture
  • Swedish/Nordic politics
  • Swedish emigration/immigration
  • Sweden today
  • Science and environmental law
  • and there will be instruction in Swedish language.

Some of these courses will fulfill Gustavus General Education Area requirements.

Note: Registration will take place during this academic year with a March 1, 2008 deadline. Coordinator of this 2009 Semester in Sweden program is Roland Thorstensson.
