Sarah Dille teaches in the area of biblical studies, Hebrew, and also teaches the Islam course. Her primary area of expertise is in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) with particular interest in the exilic and post-exilic periods, and in biblical metaphor. Among Dr. Dille's publications is Mixing Metaphors: God as mother and father in Deutero-Isaiah (T&T Clark, 2004).
Sarah came to Gustavus in August 2007. She previously taught biblical studies at Illinois College, College of St. Benedict/St. John's University, Waterloo Lutheran Seminary (Ontario), and the Toronto School of Theology. As an ordained Lutheran pastor, Dr. Dille preaches periodically in area congregations.�
