Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology. The local chapter specifically strives to find ways to enhance the regular psychology curriculum, and to promote interaction among psychology majors, faculty, and other psychologists. Within the Psychology Department at Gustavus, the expectation is that Psi Chi members will attend Psi Chi meetings, assist with department events, and serve as liaisons when there are discussions of important issues related to the major. Currently, there are forty-seven members of the Gustavus chapter. Throughout the year, Psi Chi sponsors numerous social activities open to all psychology majors as well as arranges guest panel discussions to provide post-graduate career information to majors.
