Pre-Veterinary Program
At least two years of study in the arts and sciences are required for admission to schools of veterinary medicine. Most pre-veterinary students elect to complete four years at Gustavus before entering veterinary school. Admission requirements vary with schools, but most include the courses required by the University of Minnesota. Most openings in schools of veterinary medicine are reserved for residents of the state in which the school is located. The undergraduate requirements, however, may be completed at any accredited undergraduate college.
