Germany is a small yet great country. It does not matter if you are only going just for a week trip or if you are staying to live abroad, you will love it. The country offers big city life in its metropolis but also picturesque villages on the countryside.
Friendly people, delicious food, good beer, good wine, many culturally and historically interesting locations and much more make Germany worth visiting. Especially for students with German ancestry, it should be interesting to follow their American cultural roots to the origin.
Because of its central location in Europe, Germany is a nice place to begin and exploration of the entire continent. Moreover, Germans like the US very much. Americans are very welcomed. Also, as compared to other western European countries, Germany is not too expensive, especially for students.
