Lund Music Library
Robert Moline Map Library
There are around 287,000 volumes in the library. Books are shelved on two floors of the library according to the Library of Congress scheme. (It may be a different call number system than what you are used to, but it is simple to use. It places books on the same topic together, using a combination of letters and numbers. For a more detailed outline of the call number system, see Matt Rosenberg's web site on the Library of Congress Classification System.)

The Music Library, located in the Fine Arts Building, contains music scores, music recordings, selected music reference works, and reserve materials for music courses. Most music reference books and all music books and periodicals are housed in the Main Library. Click here for Music Library hours and contact information.
Another special collection, the Map Library, is located in Nobel Hall, handy to the Geology and Geography departments that use it heavily. There are over 80,000 maps covering the U.S. and the world, most of them produced by the U.S. Geological Survey.
If you have suggestions about the collection, you can contact a library liaison; if you have other questions, you might find them answered in our Collections FAQ page.
