1. Who can use the IM reference service?
Our intended audience for this service is Gustavus students, faculty and staff. Note: In-person questions will take priority over chat reference questions.

2. Where do I go to offer feedback on the service?
Please send feedback to folke@gac.edu. Your feedback will help us determine what hours the service will be available, and make any other adjustments that are necessary.

3. How can I get assistance if IM reference service is not available?
The library can also answer your questions by e-mail, phone, or in person. See Ask a Librarian for more information.

4. What if I don't have IM software?
You can chat with us directly through the Chat Now! box without having to download any software. You can also use a web-based version of IM software at AIM Express. This service allows you to create a screen name and to chat, without downloading any software.

5. What is the library's privacy policy?
Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library respects the privacy of users, but cannot guarantee the confidentiality of files, electronic mail, or other information stored or transmitted electronically. Use of both chat and e-mail reference service constitutes consent for the library to use transcripts for research and statistic-gathering purposes and to evaluate service quality.
