WebPALS
Our library catalog. Click on "Search" next to the green banner, then
search by keyword, author, title, etc. The Limit option lets you limit
by date, additional keywords, collection area, and so on. The Location
line lists the call number--where the book is shelved. Locations beginning
A--PQ are on the third floor. Locations PR--Z are shelved on the second
(main) floor.

Library Information Network
A shared catalog for many Minnesota libraries. Click on Search, then make a
selection on the next screen. One option (below the map) provides a
search of Minnesota college and university libraries. Use the
interlibrary loan button to request a book from another
library. Use your bar code number as your username, your last name as a
password.

Understanding Critical Theory:

Terms such as "iamb," "imagery," and "new historicism" are defined
here. This handbook is notable for its clear and concise discussions of terms

- The Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Theory and Criticism (REF PN

Excellent overview articles of theory, covering schools of thought such
as feminist theory and reader-response, critical history by nationality,
and theories developed by important individuals such as Bakhtin, Lacan,
or Aristotle. Each essay is written by a specialist and helpful

Contemporary
Authors
Provides biographical information, a list of publications, and any
awards an author may have received.
JSTOR
JSTOR is an archival database and does not include current journal
issues, but provides complete full-text back files for 78 journals from
more than 15 academic disciplines. All journals are fully searchable or
are available for browsing.
MLA
Bibliography
The most in-depth index to literary criticsm. Most of the materials
in this database are only available through interlibrary-loan.
Project Muse
Project Muse provides full text electronic access to over 40
scholarly
journals in humanities, the social sciences, and mathematics. This joint
venture comes from the Johns Hopkins University Press & the Milton S.
Eisenhower Library.
