A Career Exploration is not a full-semester or summer "internship" but still provides exposure to a career field of interest through practical work and observation experience. Students have done career explorations in medical/dental offices, law firms, schools, research laboratories, churches, arts organizations, banks, and various private and non-profit organizations.
Students are required to do their career exploration full-time for the four weeks of January in approved settings which meet the guidelines outlined in the January Interim Experience Student Guide (available in the Career Center).
This experiential program is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good academic and disciplinary standing.
First year students may not enroll in Career Exploration during January Interim Experience.
