The following will be required when you apply to a Gustavus January Interim course:

• The Gustavus January Off-Campus Policy (pages 1-4 of the January Interim Off Campus Course Booklet) must be read by you and your parents, ripped from the booklet or printed from the website, signed, stapled and submitted to the Center for International and Cultural Education.
• Personal Essay submitted to the Center for International and Cultural Education: At least a one printed page essay of what you hope to learn from participating in this particular course, enumerating your academic objectives.  Describe how this course will help you learn about the culture and people of the place(s) you will be visiting.  Be specific and detailed in your objectives and description.
• Unofficial Transcript submitted with application to the Center for International and Cultural Education.
• Application completed online, printed and signed by all parties.
  • A good time to have your application signed by your course instructor will be at the January Term Off-Campus Course Fair. Date and time to be determined.
• $350 application/deposit fee in check made out to Gustavus.
• You must be in good academic and financial standing at Gustavus Adolphus College.
• Applications will not be accepted unless ALL application materials are fully completed, signed by all parties, and submitted at the same time.

The January Term Interim Off Campus Course Booklet will be available on our website and at the Center for International and Cultural Education, Student Activities Office and the Campus Library on March 17.

Please open the following link, fill out the following application document online. Hit Print button on completed form. Obtain all signatures on hard copy. Turn in the completed/signed original and two copies of the application and the original and two copies of the application materials, plus the $350 to the Center for International and Cultural Education. First registration date is April 15. Signatures of course instructors can be obtained for your application form at the Off-Campus Fair, date and time to be determined.
