Seven Mile Creek Watershed Project

The Seven Mile Creek Watershed has been the subject of an intensive collaborative monitoring project since 1999.

Preliminary investigation was undertaken by the Brown-Nicollet-Cottonwood Water Quality Board with a 3 year study (1999-2001), funded by the MPCA. The project continued as an implementation of a water quality improvement project, a collaborative effort between the BNC, Nicollet SWCD/NRCS, Environmental Services, crop consultants, and various state agencies. More information on this project can be found at their website.

Thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation, Gustavus Adolphus College has the opportunity to contribute to these efforts with continued monitoring, research, and curricular enhancement.
