
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education approved the continued accreditation of the professional education offerings at Gustavus Adolphus College at its October, 2006, meeting. The next NCATE visit is scheduled for 2013.

Minnesota Board Of Teaching Licensure
The Minnesota Board of Teaching approved elementary and secondary education programs offered at Gustavus in 2006 based on Minnesota standards governing institutional approval. Full program approval will extend through June 30, 2014, for all Gustavus teaching programs including:
The Education Department will have student teachers placed in Sotogrande International School in Spain during fall semester, 2008. International student teaching opportunities are opening up in other countries as well.
