Amy Gosewisch, Junior Geography majorStudied in Ecudaor with Hecua and in Spain with CIEE
CICE Hours:
Hi everyone! My name is Amy Gosewisch, and I am a senior Geography major, Spanish minor from Victoria, MN. At Gustavus I am an active member of the Delta Phi Omega Sorority, the Amigos program, and am a Gustie Greeter. During my time at Gustavus I have traveled abroad twice, making my way to both South America and Europe. In January 2008 I traveled to Quito, Ecuador with HECUA, where I spent the month living with a host family and learning about the Ecuadorian culture. While in Ecuador I was able to travel the countryside and explore many cities throughout Ecuador while improving my Spanish language skills and taking in a new culture. This past spring I spent the semester in Sevilla, Spain with CIEE, where I had the time of my life! Not only was I able to travel around Spain but I also traveled to seven other countries throughout Europe and Africa including France, England, Italy, Portugal, Greece, and even Morocco! I lived with a host family while in Spain as well, which not only improved my Spanish language skills but opened my eyes to the true Spanish lifestyle and culture. I would love to share my tales and experiences from my travels abroad with you, and hear more about your exciting ideas for your own study abroad experience!
